Low Air

One thing I love about cars is the variety. Not just with the cars themselves, but with the cultures that surround the machines and their owners.
Even when two owners have the same car, there are still numerous channels with which one can express themselves.
Originating from SoCal, low riders are something that while I haven't really gotten into, I enjoy seeing and have huge respect for their unmatched level of detail and showmanship.
Despite how often VAG enthusiasts are credited with starting trends, it was the American hot rods and following lowriders that I believe really developed the slammed scene.
And while nowadays all sorts of car communities embrace the low life as passionately as lowriders do, to this day no one can touch the level of paintwork lowriders are known for.
I mean, just look at it. It's layers and layers of carefully gradient textures and tones, creating hues deeper than anything you'll ever see from the dealership.
A family hauler that's a permanent classic. To many automotive enthusiasts, this will never stop being cool.

Phone Pics 5

Dumping pics from my Thanksgiving trip, since I'm so diligent with updating this blog and all. -__- Anyways, the trip started off a litt rocky with a blown tire at around the 100 mile mark of our SF-LA trek. 300 miles at 60 mph on a donut between 1-4 AM is less fun than it sounds...
As soon as I arrived at my old home in Saugus, it was a half hour rest before driving over to Palm Springs where I'd meet my family. This time thankfully in my family Civic which had 4 good tires.
Easily my favorite feature of Palm Springs, the huge mountains that tower over the desert valley. For this reason alone, PS has become my exception for my generalizing anti-desert tastes.
Always liked these flowers.
Tough as nails...
Far too few car-related items to be a real "Men's Den".
Pretty much sums up Palm Springs for those who actually live there.

Definitely one of the cool things of the Palm Desert area is the fields of wind generators.
Back at my old home, we have a few furry neighbors. This one's face is pretty cool IMO.
And back home to SF good ole SF.
